I've never let the kids listen to the primary songs on cd.

I can't do it.

The high-pitched whiny voices are enough to send me to an early grave. I'm so distracted by the noise that I can't possibly feel those warm fuzzy feelings that I should be feeling when I listen to uplifting music. It makes me feel guilty to have mean thoughts about the singers while I'm listening to "I'm Trying to Be like Jesus". So I just eliminate my guilt all together and pursue the course of never listening to the cd's.

I admit, I do feel as if I'm doing a disservice to Maddie and Lyndon by not introducing them to all these wonderful songs but I guess they just have to wait until someone like say...Jason Mraz decides to make a remix of all the primary songs. Here's hoping...

BTW, Maddie has picked up on several Primary songs while at church. She started singing, "I Love to see the Temple" while taking a bath last night. Thank you Stony Point Primary! I owe ya one.

I've been saving diaper boxes, cereal boxes, egg cartons and milk jugs for the last month or so because I just knew I was going to think of an awesome project for the kids...well, I couldn't really think of anything amazing but the boxes were taking over the pantry so it was either throw them away or make something out of it. So I introduce to you Maddie and Lyndon's castles...
I've been amazed by how much they have actually played with these. It keeps them entertained for hours...

Lyndon like to eat his snacks in he castle.

"Mommy, more candy, pweeeeze." How can I resist him when he says it with such sweetness while looking up to me with those big blue eyes?

Here they are playing "store". Lyndon has just bought some eggs from Maddie. Apparently he likes to drink his eggs immediately after buying them. To each his own...

I had to throw this picture in. This is one of his new favorite shirts. His other all time favorite shirt has a skeleton on it with two skateboards as crossbones. He is his father's son.
