Day to Day

I'm back to the blogging about our day to day stuff! (exciting, I know.) The summer trips are over and my FAVORITE time in texas is in full swing. FALL. Fall means cooler temperatures, cozy pumpkin candles burnings, Halloween parties and it's the gateway to the CHRISTMAS season. Yes, life is so right.

First of all, our family has some very blog-worthy news!!!!!
Jonathon has made it on the GRAMMY BALLOT in two categories!!

Best Rock Song: "Defined"
Best Rock Performance By a Duo or Group: "Someday" and " Defined"

The Grammy nominee show will be on CBS, December 1st, where we'll find out if he is nominated. I can't tell you how thrilled and proud I am of him. He deserves everything that is coming his way.

On to Maddie and Lyndon news...early one morning this week they just "had" to make Halloween puppets. They knew exactly what to make and how to make them. All I had to do was assist. Gotta love felt, googly eyes and hot glue, huh?

Then they, of course, had to put on a puppet show...

On THURSDAY I asked Lyndon to pick up all the shoes by the door and put them in the shoe baskets. So on FRIDAY I finally see this sitting in the middle of the floor:
3 things: 1) we need to get rid of some shoes 2) really does listen! And 3) but must just take him a day to process it and put it into action!

Oh how I wish our shoes would fit into a shoe "basket", even if it was overflowing! We need a shoe closet and that sometimes has a hard time shutting!!
